Perez y Cia de PR was founded in San Juan in 1979 as an overseas office of the Perez y Cia Group, which has had its main offices in Spain since 1853. The company began operations as agents for ZIM, and has continued in this role ever since. Puerto Rico is the smallest of the Greater Antilles and has a territorial extent of only 3,500 square miles. These territorial limitations therefore make San Juan the main entrance for containerized cargo and the busiest port in Puerto Rico, combining the ideal conditions for ZIM to establish operations on the island.
Perez y Cia de PR provides international cargo solutions for local and international clients, accompanied by excellent client service and integral logistics. The agency is always improving and adapting to changing industry trends, focusing on making life easier for its clients. Continuous improvement has been the key to maintaining the agency's success during the latest worldwide economic crisis.
Our staff is carefully selected, with each member having specific areas of expertise. This dynamic team constantly strives to complete their work with superior standards. Client service is an integral part of their lives and every person within the agency doubles as a salesperson on every single phone call and email to which they respond. This working method keeps the ZIM "family" growing by adding new clients on daily basis, all of whom view ZIM as a one-stop-shop for their shipping needs.
Perez y Cia de PR is one of Puerto Rico's largest and longest-established agencies, moving approximately 1,500 TEUs per month in import and export. It is part of the Puerto Rico Shipping Association and a member of the Multiport Ship Agencies Network.
