ZIM vessels have been calling at Keelung since 1975, with multipurpose ships regularly calling for conventional cargoes as well as very limited containerized shipments.
ZIM Container Service (ZCS) originally called at Keelung every 10 days, which was then changed to a regular weekly service for more than 25 years. At that time, ZCS was serving the east coast of Canada, the USA, and the Caribbean area, as well as providing a Mediterranean service that included Israel. ZCS also served the east coast of Australia and the West Africa market.
The ZIM Taiwan branch office was established in September 2007, and currently has a staff of 35 serving exporters, importers, NVOCCs, and FFWs in Taiwan. Providing accurate and excellent service (SCE) on a weekly basis, the Taiwan office serves the east coast of Canada, the USA, the Caribbean area, and South America, as well as the west coast of Canada (PNX). A westbound feeder service also exists to the Israel/Mediterranean/Black Sea area.
ZIM Taiwan is currently developing a service to cover the Intra-Asia market.
