Dear Valued Customer,
We would like to inform you that, following the earthquake that affected several regions of Colombia on August 10, 2026, ZIM’s business continuity remains unaffected at this stage.
Our PCC and Ro/Ro services calling Buenaventura are also operating as usual.
Although the earthquake impacted areas in western Colombia, including the region served by Buenaventura, current assessments show that port and logistics operations remain active, with no reported impact on our services.
We are closely monitoring the situation in coordination with local authorities and terminal operators and will update you about any future developments.
ZIM stands in solidarity with the people of Colombia and all communities affected by this tragic event. Our Customer Service team is available to support you and assist with any inquiries.

Dear ZIM Customer,As part of ZIM’s ongoing commitment to serving customers worldwide, along with the market response to the introduction of our new service, ZIM Falcon Service (ZFS), ZIM is pleased to announce significant strategic upgrades ahead of the maiden voyage scheduled for September 13th, 2026.
The updated rotation will be as follows:
Shanghai - Ningbo - Xiamen - Hong Kong - Yantian - Rio Grande - Paranaguá - Itajaí - Santos - Rio de Janeiro - Shanghai
Among the enhancements is the newly added exclusive direct call in Xiamen, making ZIM Falcon Service (ZFS) the only product on the market offering a direct connection between Xiamen and the East Coast of South America. For customers shipping from this major manufacturing hub, the exclusive direct call helps to remove transshipment delays and provides a highly reliable and streamlined route directly to markets across East Coast South America.
In addition, ZIM Falcon Service (ZFS) has restructured its East Coast South America coastal coverage, shifting from a southbound to a northbound rotation. Under the updated structure, the service will call Rio Grande as the first port of call in South America, then continue to key South Brazil ports including Paranaguá, Itajaí, Santos and Rio de Janeiro, before making its return voyage to Asia.
Together, these changes bring several benefits for customers including:
Cargo destined for the River Plate region will now be connected through a prioritized service in Rio Grande, the first port of call in South America, offering the fastest transit time available on the market from Asia to the River Plate region.
The updated structure also prioritizes early arrivals in the south, providing exceptionally fast and convenient transit times for cargo bound for Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, and Paraná states. This upgrade also helps reduce exposure to congested ports in central Brazil and minimize potential delays.
The new ZIM Falcon Service will be operated in cooperation with Hapag Lloyd.
The upgraded ZIM Falcon Service (ZFS) is designed to provide customers with reliable connectivity, combining exclusive direct access from key ports of origin, market-leading transit times, and dedicated coverage between Asia and the East Coast of South America. Читать еще
