Customer Advisory - Congestion at the port of Mersin
Dear ZIM Customer,
We would like to bring to your attention the current situation at the Port of Mersin, which has been experiencing severe congestion during the past year.
In January 2023, the Port implemented restrictions on the number of Lines granted berthing windows.
Since then, the congestion has worsened, leading to the recent cancellation of all berthing windows, and the Port has shifted to vessel operations on a first-come-first-served basis.
Unfortunately, we are expecting extended waiting times for vessel berthing and service delays, which may exceed 7 days.
Please rest assured that we are doing our utmost to maintain our service levels to meet your needs.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will keep you updated on any further developments as well as any mitigating actions from our side.
