The fourth update on the outbreak of Novel Coronavirus for North and South China
Dear ZIM Customer,
We would like to provide you with our latest update on the outbreak of COVID-19, as well as ZIM’s current operation status in China.
In accordance with local authorities’ guidelines, the majority of China’s provinces are gradually resuming work. In addition, the Chinese government is actively working on specific solutions for enterprises to reinstate business in several certain large cities and provinces, however labor shortage in factories and limited available trucking resources continue to be the major challenges to the industrial recovery.
All ZIM offices, except Wuhan office, will resume normal operations on Monday, 2nd March. Wuhan office maintains to be closed in accordance with the local authorities’ instructions. ZIM’s management team has been closely monitoring the situation as part of our strong commitment to ensure the safety of our employees while working towards mitigating any possible negative impact on our customers’ operations.
Our Customer Service Teams are at your service via phone and email either onsite or via remote access per local authorities’ instructions. Below are the working hours and updated status of our China main offices starting coming Monday, March 2nd:
- South China Headquarters and Shenzhen office (also serving customers in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Xiamen and Pearl River Delta):
Monday to Friday between 9:00-12:30 and 14:00-18:00
- North China Headquarters and Shanghai, Ningbo, Qingdao, Tianjin, Dalian Nanjing offices resume normal operations on Monday, 2nd March
We expect changes in our service schedules due to the current situation. Those will be updated on our ZIM.com as well both our Sales and Customer Service Teams will keep you informed and are as well available for any quarry on that matter.
Terminal & Depot Operation
Terminals which serve ZIM’s operations are handling cargo volumes smoothly and continue loading and discharging of cargo. All terminal depots and off-dock depots are open and provide empty pick-up and laden return service as normal.
Barge operations are fully back to normal.
We will continue monitoring the situation closely across all ZIM offices in China and will keep you updated on any further development.
