ZIM Canada Update: COVID-19 Business Continuity Plan
Dear ZIM Customer,
We are closely monitoring the latest developments on COVID-19 and the effects of this unprecedented event on our communities and businesses. While the situation in Canada remains fluid, there have been many announcements of closures or changes to operational hours in other industries, public services, schools, etc.
As you are experiencing today when doing business with ZIM Canada, our services and operations remains as usual and our friendly staff continues to assist you via all our channels of communications despite this very challenging situation. Nevertheless, the pandemic situation is evolving rapidly and at ZIM, we have put our Business Continuity Plan in action to counter the current and future risks which may have an impact on our business or to the safety of our Zimmers.
Our plan is to eventually maintain all major operational and support processes fully functioning through a combination of staff working remotely and staff remaining in our 4 offices across Canada. Also we are limiting the office visits and conducting all business meeting through electronic communication channels.
Also we just have launched our new online platform eZIM which allows customers to instantly create bookings and Shipping instructions online as well as making BL amendments. The registration is fully digital, fast and user friendly.
We would like to use this communication to remind all our valued customers of our online customer’s area myZIM where customers can have access to all their transactions (BK, BL, Arrival Notice, invoices, BL draft..) on top of the capability to print Bill of Lading in remotely.
With our Business Continuity Plan in effect, there will be no change in our contact details nor our business hours, so please continue to manage your business with ZIM the same way.
