ZIM's Chairman of the Board, Aharon Fogel, joined the last leg of the tour with visits to Hong Kong and China. Attending the July 24th meeting in Hong Kong were: Mr. Nissim Yochai, VP Trans Pacific Trade Mr. Danny Hoffmann, VP Intra Asia Trade Mr. Andy Ip, Regional Director of East Asia Ms. Yael Bernholz-D'angeli, Head of Strategic Accounts Unit Country Managers: Capt. Indrajit Dasgupta, President of India Mr. Jun Takahashi – General Manager of Japan Mr. J.H. Lee, Head of Sales andVice Country Manager of Korea Mr. Claude Huang, General Manager of Taiwan Ms. Aviva Beck, Agency Manager of Bangkok Mr. Kevin Li, President of S. China and Hong Kong Mr. Shaul Eitan,VP S. China Mr. Michael Kwok, Managing Director of Vietnam After the CEO's remarks,VP of Trans Pacific Trade NissimYochai presented the operating forecast and budget for the first half of the year. Danny Hoffmann, VP Intra Asia Trade, reviewed the principal services to Asia, India and Africa, andYael Barenholz- D'angeli, Head of Strategic Accounts Unit, presented her unit's activities. Finally, the country managers all presented the latest China developments in their respective countries. The Shanghai meeting was attended by Nissim Yochai and Danny Hoffmann, ZIM Shanghai's President Hua Xiang Qian, and the North China branch managers, sales managers, and customer service managers. In addition to speaking about his vision for moving the company forward, Mr. Glickman put extra emphasis on the issues of customer relations and the need to be more proactive. He introduced plans for a sales incentive program and initiatives for improving the flow of information to branch sales managers. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of expanding the company's digital capabilities in order to move ZIM into the future. Lastly, he underscored the value of improving team spirit and employee pride within the unit. After the meeting, the teams participated in a half-day follow- up workshop designed to build on these messages and ensure their implementation.
