ZIM 2019 Sustainability report
The Report Covers Targets Achieved During 2019 and ZIM’s Ongoing Sustainability Effort
ZIM published today its 2019 Sustainability report, covering issues related to Corporate Governance, Environmental and Social activities and performance. The report has been prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards.
The issues discussed in the report were selected in a comprehensive material analysis process carried out by Company management. During 2019, the company introduced several new concepts at the organizational level, giving new impetus and meaning to the company’s sustainability standards. For example, ZIM appointed local Sustainability Change Agents to serve as the Company’s Regional contact points for all ZIM sustainability issues in their jurisdiction.
ZIM President & CEO Eli Glickman said: “The current CoronaVirus crisis is a huge challenge on a global scale. As we cope with it, we do not neglect other global challenges facing us. Our increasing efforts to put sustainability, in the broadest sense of the term, at the forefront of everything we do, continue without interruption, in line with our Vision and Values.”
