Transpacific Trade Equipment Imbalance Surcharge (EI
Dear Valued Customer,
Due to strong demand for containers in Asia, there is a need to reposition equipment to meet our customers’ needs and maintain ZIM’s high service level. ZIM will implement Equipment Imbalance Surcharge (“EIS”) for dry cargo effective December 4th 2020, until further notice.
The EIS will be invoiced as per freight and will apply on all cargo from Far East Asia ports/points to North America including the Caribbean as follows:
- $250 per 40DV and 40HC
All other price components will apply and remain with no change.
