Dear Valued Customer,

We would like to inform you that following the earthquake that has severely affected Venezuela, including La Guaira and surrounding areas, the Government of Venezuela has declared a state of emergency in several of the hardest-hit locations.

As a result, port operations at La Guaira are currently suspended, with no confirmed timeline for resumption at this stage. 

All cargo currently in transit to La Guaira port will be redirected and discharged at Puerto Cabello port. In light of the above and in accordance with the Carrier’s rights under the Bill of Lading, we hereby declare End of Voyage.

In addition, ZIM will accept new cargo bookings to La Guira while the destination might be changed to Puerto Cabello based on the situation in La Guira port and instructions from the Venezuelan authorities.

ZIM stands in solidarity with the people of Venezuela during this difficult time and remains fully committed to maintain cargo flows to/from the ports of Venezuela as circumstances will allow.
