You have probably been receiving many notifications of companies intent to update their data protection policies in light of changes to EU data protection regulations.

 

ZIM is also updating our Data Protection Policy and other relevant company policies to reflect changes we are making to protect your personal data that we process in the course of our business. As part of our ongoing commitment to protect your data and data rights, and to share the steps we take to do so with you, here are a few highlights of the changes we are making:

 

• We have appointed a Data Protection Officer whose job includes serving as a contact point for your questions regarding your data protection rights;
• We are revamping our websites and web apps to give you more information about the personal data we use in the course of ZIM business, why we use it, and how we use it;
• We will be providing you additional information about the measures we use to keep your data secure, including the deletion of your data once it is no longer necessary for the provision of ZIM services.
