As previously announced by the United States Trade Representative (USTR), effective October 14, 2025, the U.S. Government will implement a new service fee applicable to maritime transport services involving Chinese-owned, operated, or constructed vessels calling at U.S. ports.

While this regulatory change may introduce certain challenges, ZIM will not apply any additional fees or surcharges in response to the current USTR framework and structure.

However, we reserve the right to reassess this position should additional cost implications or regulation evolve.

ZIM remains fully committed to maintaining service stability and reliability. Our operational capacity and service levels will continue, and we do not currently anticipate any adjustments to our U.S. port rotations.
