ZIM’s agency in Jamaica, Carib Star Shipping Ltd, won the title of “Most Improved Exporter” for 2013 from the Jamaica
Exporters’ Association (JEA). The award ceremony was held in June of this year at the annual conference of the organization,
where citations are given for significant achievements in the industry. Carib Star, ZIM’s long-standing agency, is under full
ownership and has been operating for 40 years in Kingston, ZIM’s central trans-shipment hub in the region.
New Agency in
Paraguay
As part of the strategic
development in South
America, ZIM recently
renewed its activities in
Paraguay and will serve
the Port of Asunción with a
feeder line to Montevideo,
and from there to ZIM’s
regional and global network.
The new agency, under the
management of María Ines
Lacout, will provide service
to importers and exporters in
Paraguay from its new office
in Asunción.
