immediate attention to the problem by the relevant ZIM team
member. At sea, this will be one of the ship’s officers, and on
shore an expert ZIM team member will be dispatched from
the closest ZIM office in the region where the container is
located. This ZIM team member will examine the reason
for the alert and carry out all necessary steps to prevent
damage occurring to the cargo.

because any damage to valuable cargoes could result in
heavy financial losses.
ZIM has considerable experience handling such issues, which
are always better to prevent before they occur. Whether
the problem is a generator malfunction or a change to the
