• March 1992: Zim Miami, under the command of Captain Hillel Yarkoni, rescued 13
crewmen from the bulk carrier Karadeniz S, about 600 miles west of Gibraltar. The
survivors were brought to the island of Madeira.

• October 26, 1998: Zim USA, under the command of Captain Shalom Cohen, rescued four
Colombian fishermen. En route from Panama to Los Angeles, the Zim USA crew noticed
an overturned boat in the middle of the sea, with four men aboard waving for help. The
Zim USA lowered a rescue boat and brought the survivors on board.

• January 11, 2011: En route from Barcelona to Halifax, the Zim Pacific, under the
command of Captain Rafi Hollinger, received distress signals from a Spanish ship that
had sunk in a strong storm. The Zim Pacific was able to rescue three survivors.

• September 23, 2015: Zim Dalian, en route to Shekou in China, rescued 26 Chinese
fishermen whose boat had sunk. The Zim Dalian received instructions to continue sailing
to Shekou, where the survivors disembarked.
